Description
Benjamin Cooker, a fulfilled and feared wine critic, suddenly finds himself in turmoil. Far from his Bordeaux lands, he decides to seek peace in the gentle landscapes of Touraine. But several unique characters will come to disturb a well-deserved rest: a dandy of high society, a well-dressed old Englishwoman, a blonde with eyes too blue, a lord whose bells are ringing, quickly irritated gendarmes, a zealous angelic headwaiter. Some blends sometimes produce unclassifiable vintages. From the banks of the Indre to the shores of the Garonne, between a glass of Vouvray or a bottle of Saint-Émilion, Benjamin Cooker and his assistant Virgile would like to know at what time the next Angelus will chime.
