Description
Lebanese wines are enjoying growing success. The sector's success is linked to the restructuring that began in the early 1990s. The growth of vineyards and the number of wineries reflect the vitality of the wine industry in Lebanon. In fact, it was in the 19th century that viticulture in this country entered a dynamic phase, driven by the Jesuits established in the Bekaa Valley. They initiated a process of modernizing their operations to focus on quality. In reality, the reputation of Lebanese wines dates back much further. This work aims to show that their renown is millennia-old, with praise enduring over the centuries. An exceptional expertise is passed down from generation to generation, with 21st-century producers as its heirs. They continue the love story between Lebanon and wine. What other country in the world can boast such a long and glorious passion for creating this beverage as Lebanon?
