Description
In July 2015, UNESCO inscribed the "hillsides, houses, and cellars of Champagne" on the World Heritage list. "It is the Outstanding Universal Value of the Champagne wine-growing cultural landscape that gave birth to Champagne wine, which is now recognized," celebrated the association "Mission Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne Patrimoine mondial," tasked with advocating for this recognition to the United Nations institution.
In 2016, the Revue des Deux Mondes paid homage to this jewel of French art de vivre by dedicating its first special Heritage edition to it, "Champagne in the Great History." This project illustrates in an original and unprecedented manner the encounter between the great moments in the history of France and that of Champagne.
The content includes prestigious contributions from historians, writers, and experts who share a common passion for their subject: Daniel Rondeau, Michel Onfray, Jacques Dupont, Michel Delon, Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger, Michel Guillard, Fabienne Moreau.
