Description
In 1964 at the age of 31, Georges Dubuf, born into a family of winemakers in Mâconnais since the 17th century, founded his company "Les vins Georges Dubuf." Fifty years later, the founder has made his name known on tables worldwide. Today, this name is associated with Beaujolais Nouveau, which he promotes with great fanfare every third Thursday of November, as well as with the fine wines of Beaujolais and Mâconnais. A skilled taster, as well as a marketing and communication expert, Georges Dubuf has successfully linked his company's image with the most prestigious names in fine dining, show business, the press, and literature, from Paul Bocuse to Michel Troisgros, Georges Blanc, and Guy Savoy, from Patrick Bruel to Lambert Wilson, not forgetting his dear friend Bernard Pivot, a loyal supporter. In this book, written in collaboration with Jean Orizet, whose father, Louis Orizet, was for thirty years the "voice" of Dubuf, the man whom Paul Bocuse calls "the King of Beaujolais" tells us about his extraordinary commercial and human adventure. Georges Dubuf is one of those men who make us love France.
