Description
Bacchus at the table of the Alsace StarsThe shelves of bookstores are overflowing with recipe books and every year, new ones are released. Reading appetites seemingly show no sign of diminishing. Less common, however, are books that combine food and wine, Alsace, a region as much dedicated to wine as it is to gourmet food, is not exempt from this observation. To achieve this, the 35 chefs and master artisans, members of the prestigious association "Les Etoiles d'Alsace," each imagined three recipes, specially created for the book or taken from their repertoire. With each dish, they propose a different Alsace wine, but from the same winemaker. These harmonies, of food and wine, are the cherished choices of the chefs and winemakers mentioned in the book. All the grape varieties of the Alsatian vineyard are thus highlighted, with all fragrances and aromas on display to enhance delicious recipes. MAURICE ROECKEL has spent most of his professional career behind the scenes of the restaurant industry. He is a founding member of the Alsace Stars. He is the writer and editorial coordinator of the book.Contact > Email: roeckel@charte-conseils.frMARCEL EHRHARD is a photographer, passionate about culinary art. He took all the photographs for the book.
