Description

Invited to celebrate the end of the grapevine pruning season in Beaujolais, Commissioner Boistôt arrives at a vineyard in turmoil. Accused of the murder of an insufferable commercial delegate, Sylvain, a good guy from Fleurie, is arrested. Too many questions remain unanswered. Sylvain remains strangely silent. Bewildered, the investigators seek the help of Boistôt and his extraordinary team. Witnesses dodge, lie, and lose their temper. Is this what prompts the statuesque Wyvine to pose as a model for an artist who only paints abstract art? Already difficult and complex, the investigation leads to other cases from which threats and dangers emerge. Boistôt and his team, as good epicureans, do not give up on their "comparative studies" of frog legs, Lyon or Burgundy gastronomic specialties, and of course delicious Beaujolais wines. Epicurean, bon vivant, colorful character, fighter against hypocrisy like the sublime Wyvine, Placide Boistôt conducts investigations in his own way, never neglecting the delightful aspects of life. It is also a discovery of the best culinary and gastronomic specialties of our regions. Pleasures, terroir, indulgences, cuisine, and flavors.
