Description
In 1895, phylloxera ravages the vineyards of Anjou. A scourge during which Jeanne and Henri fight to save their small farm. Their once peaceful existence is disrupted by the whims of nature that unleash passions. Twists, internal conflicts, betrayals, lies... The turmoil caused in the village community by the separation of Church and State marks Jeanne's life. A saga where characters caught in the storm of History see their destinies shift as rumors of the First World War rumble. After studying Advanced Literature in Poitiers, Marie-Noëlle Bonnet-Moureaux was a lecturer at the University of Reading in Great Britain. An English teacher in Deux-Sèvres, her hometown, she is the author of "Au pays de Jeanne."
