Description
Champagne Extra-Brut "Réserve Brut" Champagne Leclerc Briant
LA MAISON de Champagne Leclerc Briant founded in 1872 in Cumières by Lucien Leclerc, is today a ic in the world of Champagne. In 1955, it moved to new premises in Epernay at the Chemin de la Chaude, Ruelle. It was at this time that Bertrand Leclerc, great-grandson of the founder, and his wife Jacqueline Briant transformed the estate into a trading house, giving it the name of Leclerc Briant. In 1980, Pascal Leclerc took over from his parents to continue their work. In 2012, Mark Nunnely and Denise Dupré, an American couple with a passion for the French art of living, bought Leclerc Briant, saving la maison from oblivion. They joined forces with Frédéric Reimett, a native of Champagne, to direct la maison. Together, they help push the boundaries of Champagne conventions, creating a unique and internationally recognized style.
The Champagne Réserve Brut de la maison de Champagne Leclerc Briant embodies indulgence and freshness. Composed of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay and then dosed Extra-Brut at 4.5 grams per litre. This champagne displays a perfect balance between vinosity, greediness and a subtle saline acidity, expressing an intense purity. To the eye, it has a luminous pale yellow gold colour with deep light straw yellow reflections. The first nose evokes a pastry universe and oriental spices, with notes of marzipan, praline and spices. On the palate, it offers suppleness and freshness, revealing a luscious and crisp fruity texture, enhanced by a well-balanced lemony acidity. This champagne is ideal as an aperitif and also reveals its depth when paired with dishes such as lamb. A taste experience not to be missed.
