Champagne 1er Cru "Le Clos des Trois Clochers" Brut Zero 2016 | Wine from Maison Leclerc Briant
Created in Cumières in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc, the Domaine settled in Épernay in 1955 in its current premises on Chemin de la Chaude Ruelle. It was during this period that, under the leadership of Bertrand Leclerc, the founder's great-grandson, and his wife Jacqueline Briant, the Domaine became a trading house and took the name Leclerc Briant. In 1980, Pascal Leclerc succeeded his parents and continued their work. In 2012, the acquisition of Leclerc Briant by Mark Nunnelly and Denise Dupré saved the Maison from oblivion. This American couple, passionate about the French art of living, fell in love with this nonconformist Maison. Since then, under the direction of Frédéric Zeimett, the Maison remains at the forefront of Champagne codes, offering a unique style recognized internationally.
The Champagne 1er Cru "Le Clos des Trois Clochers" Brut Zero 2016 comes from a 40-hectare plot in Villers Allerand 1er Cru. This wine is vinified and aged for 9 months in barrels, without the use of synthetic molecules, thus respecting the natural cycles of the vine. This champagne stands out for its commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly viticulture.
This Champagne Brut Zero will perfectly accompany seafood dishes, oysters, sashimi, or aged cheeses such as Comté or Parmesan. Its saline and lemony character pairs wonderfully with dishes with iodized flavors.
This champagne should be served chilled, ideally between 7° and 10° to reveal all its aromas and unique texture.
