Description
Étienne Davodeau is a comic book author, he doesn't know much about the world of wine. Richard Leroy is a winemaker, he has hardly ever read comic books.
But these two are full of goodwill and curiosity. Why choose to devote one's life to writing and drawing books or producing wine? How and for whom are they made?
For over a year, to answer these questions, Étienne went to work in the vineyards and cellar of Richard, who in return, delved into the world of comic books. They opened many bottles and read quite a few books. They strolled around, meeting authors and winemakers passionate about their craft.
Étienne Davodeau is betting that there are as many ways to create a book as there are to produce wine. He notes that both have the power, necessary and precious, to bring human beings closer together.
It's the joyful account of a mutual initiation that The Ignorant offers you.
This book received the "Clos de Vougeot" 2012 award (Awarded to a work about wine, vineyards, and a certain way of life, sponsored by the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin)
