Description
Annabelle is funny, pretty, neurotic, very psychoanalyzed, and... going through a divorce. A Parisian to the core, she is also a journalist for a very large French weekly magazine. Even though she knows absolutely nothing about wine, her boss (who is also her father) assigns her a 50-page report on the Bordeaux vineyard. Without a second thought, Annabelle dumps her two teenagers on her ex-husband before catapulting herself, suitcase in hand, onto the platform of Montparnasse train station. Destination: the Bordeaux capital! During her stay (three months of total immersion in the local wine industry), nothing will be spared her... Isabelle Bunisset writes a sharp-witted book about the very elitist world of wine, illustrated by the expressive style of Giuseppe Liotti. A way to humorously and derisively discover the microcosm of "the nobility of the cork," as well as the esteemed François Mauriac.
