Description
On the edge of the Mediterranean, at the bottom of the Gulf of Lion, the terroir of the protected designation of origin Picpoul de Pinet extends north of the Thau pond, in the middle of the Agde-Pézenas-Sète triangle. There lies the largest region of white wine in Languedoc: a limestone plateau exposed to the southeast sun covered with fragrant scrubland and orderly vineyards, dotted with tall pine forests... Its wine, with a crystalline pale green hue and a floral and penetrating nose, presents a beautiful natural acidic edge that gives it a lot of freshness. This work invites you to browse through the history of Picpoul, this indigenous grape variety that spontaneously emerged on this land and has never felt the desire to leave it. Like the images of a luminous kaleidoscope in the colors of the sea and the sky, the current facets of the Picpoul de Pinet appellation are revealed throughout the pages: its preserved landscape, its harvests, its iconic bottle, the imprint of women on its production, or even the Thau Music Festival...
