The Pierre Gelin estate, founded in 1925 by Pierre Gelin, is currently managed by Pierre-Emmanuel Gelin, successor to Stéphen Gelin who has been operating it since 1969. The estate is distinguished by its careful cultural approach, applying a reasoned pest control and using natural fertilizers from organic farming. Selective disbudding and manual leaf removal guarantee grapes of optimal quality. Respectful of the environment, the estate collects rainwater for cleaning tractors and uses a phytobac to treat rinsing water. Traditional vinification, combined with new oak barrels depending on the Crus and vintages, ensures high quality wines, aged between 20 and 22 months and marketed after a year or two of storage.

The Fixin 1er Cru Rouge "Clos Napoléon" 2020 from Domaine Pierre Gelin is a Burgundy wine from the "Les Cheusots" climate, renamed "Clos Napoléon" by Claude Noisot in homage to Napoleon. Located in Fixin, the appellation recognized since 1936, this red wine has a brilliant purple color. It reveals a complex bouquet of violet, peony, blackcurrant, morello cherry, quince, musk and pepper, sometimes with notes of cherry stone. When young, it is tannic, with a round attack and a delicate texture, guaranteeing a long shelf life.
