Description
Protected by the Vosges Mountains, Alsace benefits from a dry and sunny climate that is conducive to vine cultivation. On its well-exposed slopes, traditional grape varieties such as Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and even Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Chasselas, and Muscat produce wines with incomparable aromas. The unity and personality of Alsace are revealed through its men and women who have shaped their land: hillsides, roads, villages, and cellars are the harmonious expression of it. Some lead us into poetic comparisons, while others practice biodynamic farming. As for the chef, in the warm atmosphere of a Winstub, he brilliantly prepares a Baeckeoffe with pork feet and three different meats.
"The Wine Route," a vibrant worldwide encyclopedia of wines. The author, Robert Tinlot, has traveled through the most beautiful vineyards in the world, met many men and women who are passionate about their terroirs, and tasted the most prestigious or astonishing wines.
He shares his experience, enthusiasm, and offers you intense moments of conviviality. He gives a voice to those who, around the world, on five continents, share the same passion and know how to establish this precious relationship between man and his land. They express it through wine, a beverage that is both mythical, festive, and part of daily life.
