Description
Two mountain regions that look at each other and stand out: on one side, the yellow wine and straw wine whose secrets are unveiled, traditional grape varieties like savagnin, poulsard or trousseau, and modern vineyards of chardonnay; on the other side, heroic viticulture that brings back to life on steep slopes other no less traditional grape varieties: mondeuse, jacquère or gringet, vineyards on a cross, reminiscent of the Etruscans. Mountain wines and wines of mountaineers, wines from chalets and raclette, but also the gourmet culture of Savoie, a land connecting with Italy.
"The wine route," a lively global encyclopedia of wines. The author, Robert Tinlot, has traveled through the most beautiful vineyards in the world, met many men and women in love with their terroirs, tasted the most prestigious or most astonishing wines.
He shares with you his experience, his enthusiasm, and offers you intense moments of conviviality. He gives a voice to those who, around the world, on the five continents, share the same passion and know how to establish this precious relationship between man and his land. They express it through wine, a drink that is both mythical, festive, and daily.
