Description
Issue number 138 of Bourgogne Aujourd'hui comes with the supplement Crémants de France. Bourgogne Aujourd'hui Beaune, Marsannay, Fixin, Côte de Nuits-Villages... These appellations are not among the "stars" of Burgundy, yet you can find great wines at very reasonable prices in the 2014 and 2015 vintages. Fabrice Sommier is the right-hand man of chef Georges Blanc and speaks his mind in the section Rencontre. The feature is dedicated to the Hospices de Beaune, with a focus on a very successful 2017 vintage, a portrait of one of the last vine donors, and our "favorite" addresses in town. The Saint-Véran cru, in the Mâconnais region, will host the next Saint-Vincent Tournante at the end of January 2018. An opportunity to rediscover its best terroirs that aspire to become premier crus. Marc Colin is a well-regarded domain in the Côte de Beaune, and Marc's children now want to "return to their roots." Crémants de France Bourgogne, Alsace, Loire, Jura, Die... Find in this issue the buying guide for the best crémants from France and Luxembourg. The blending of grape varieties, vintages, terroirs... is the basis of the production of the majority of crémants and it is quite an art. Drinking crémants as an aperitif is very "trendy," and the restaurant l'Osmose in Alsace provides us with some "chic" recipes for the holidays.
