In 1933, following the crisis of Phylloéra, an aphid that caused the disappearance of ancestral grape varieties and vineyards, the Ministry of Agriculture decided to launch a major advertising campaign to support French wines.
The illustrator Leonetto Cappiello makes a poster with the cult slogan: "drink wine and live joyfully".
