Description
This is the library edition of our popular Australian wine list.
Australia is the sixth largest wine-producing country and produces some of the most well-known and sought-after wines in the world.
The vine first arrived in 1788 and winemaking became an important industry in the mid-nineteenth century. British immigrant James Busby brought clippings of over 600 different European grape varieties in 1831 and is considered the father of Australian wine. Today, Australia is the sixth-largest wine-producing country, producing some of the most well-known and sought-after wines in the world.
The map covers all Geographical Indications (GIs), including all States/Zones, Regions and Sub-Regions; with a detailed map of the regions around Adelaide (i.e. Barossa Valley, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, etc.)
