Description
5 YEARS OF GUARDING: It's not yet the age of reason.
Created in 2015, published at a pace that could be described as senatorial, En Magnum is a kid who takes his time. This seems to us to be a good stance to tell, clarify, share, this civilization of wine that fascinates you and us. Among the five senses it sets in motion, we naturally favor in a magazine the sense of sight.
To paraphrase the eminent oenologist Jacques Puisais, a good wine has the face of its terroir and the guts of the one who makes it. Thanks to its photographers - I take this opportunity to thank here its two most loyal "pair of eyes," Fabrice Leseigneur and Mathieu Garçon - En Magnum looks carefully and hopefully with originality at the mondovino turning. Making a great wine requires sensitivity and intelligence.
En Magnum allows you to meet and above all listen to the greatest winemakers, sometimes also the most enterprising and often the most artistic among them. Their words have the dual meaning of sharpening our desire and transmitting the keys to a quest for excellence that is also a philosophy of existence. The face of its terroir is discovered throughout the reports we have dedicated since our first issue to these vineyards of France and elsewhere, whether it be a nearby or faraway elsewhere, our civilization knows no borders and the values promoted there are universal.
Lastly, there are the wines, as they are in themselves. Each has its own genius that we strive to release from its bottle. Some are geniuses that guarantee you simple, honest, and immediate pleasure, others precisely deserve five years of cellaring, still others, like those that nourish the palate and memories of Michel Bettane, are capable of remaining of an evident persistence throughout a wine lover's life. Wine is an eternal joy, let's make the most of it.
