Description
On a farm in Charente, during a "candlelit" sale organized by his younger brother, Robert returns to save whatever he can from being dispersed. Thirty years have passed since the end of World War II. Back then, Robert, 19 years old, a hard worker and realist, believed more in progress than his father and wanted to convince him to streamline his methods. A portrayal, through small touches, of the daily life in a village and the peasant world from which our present cannot detach itself. Marie Touraine is preparing another book on the life of peasants in Charente after the war.
