Description
Magnum Meursault Blanc 1er Cru "Perrières" 2022 | Wine from Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur
Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur, located in the heart of Burgundy, is a key reference for the great wines of Meursault. Committed to respectful viticultural practices, the estate is dedicated to expressing the full richness and finesse of this exceptional terroir. The 1er Cru "Perrières", located south of the village, is distinguished by a unique clay-limestone soil, which imparts unmatched minerality and elegance to its wines.
The Magnum Meursault Blanc 1er Cru "Perrières" 2022 is made from hand-harvested grapes. After a slow and gentle pressing, the musts ferment in French oak barrels, some of which are new wood, for a refined aging process of 12 to 16 months. The result is a wine of great complexity, combining a striking minerality, a liveliness on the palate, and gourmet notes of white flowers and dried fruits.
The wine showcases a green-gold robe evolving towards a pale gold. The nose offers an elegant aromatic palette with hints of white flowers, sometimes accompanied by dried fruits such as apricot. On the palate, liveliness and minerality are perfectly balanced by subtle roundness, offering a long persistence.
This Meursault 1er Cru is ideal for pairing with refined dishes. It enhances fish, whether raw or cooked, like turbot or lobster "thermidor". Roasted poultry and sweetbreads also pair wonderfully with this wine. It can be enjoyed with fresh or aged cheeses, as long as they are not too strong. An older vintage will add an exceptional touch to a foie gras.
