If Statella has risen in recent years to become one of the most qualitative areas of the Etna massif, it is above all thanks to the talent of its creator, Calogero Statella. A brilliant oenologist in charge of the mythical Tenuta delle Terre Nere estate for 10 years, he began his personal adventure in 2017 with the purchase of a hectare on one of the best terroirs of Etna - considered a grand cru - the "Pettinociarelle".

This high-flying white of Etna is grown on the volcanic soils of the beautiful village of Randazzo, whose streets themselves are paved with the black lava of the volcano. The cuvée is made up of 90% Carricante and 10% Catarratto. In this harsh climate, this white delivers a superb tension and mineral freshness. The palate opens with notes of brioche, almonds, walnuts and chamomile. A wine that is both digestible and charming.
