White Wine Burgundy Chardonnay "Laforêt" 2020 Joseph Drouhin

LA MAISON Joseph Drouhin, which is approaching its 130th anniversary, is currently run by the founder's four grandchildren and produces wines in 90 appellations, from Burgundy Aligoté to Grands Crus in organic farming with the principles of biodynamics, to respect the environment as much as the terroirs.

This Bourgogne Chardonnay "Laforêt" 2020 from LA MAISON Joseph Drouhin is made from Chardonnay from the entire Burgundy wine region. In the 1970s, Robert Drouhin, (Véronique's father and Joseph Drouhin's grandson), created "the Burgundy that makes you discover Burgundy". His idea: all the diversity of the terroirs and the elegance of the Drouhin style. He chooses grapes from plots located at the top of the hills, quite high, close to the forest. He is a nature lover, he calls his wine "Laforêt". He set out to conquer the markets and was successful.

At the tasting, this is a wine full of life! A bouquet of lemony aromas, and then we meet honey and vanilla. On the palate, it is fresh and spontaneous. Very charming. Composed like a perfume. We have a good range of aromas and flavours: northern Auxerrois Burgundy for freshness and character, Côte d'Or for finesse and elegance, Mâconnais, in the south, for charm and fruitiness.
