Domaine Marquis d'Angerville, in Volnay, has been in the same family for more than 200 years. Guillaume d'Angerville is the sixth generation to operate this 16.5-hectare estate, including 11.5 hectares in Volnay Premier Cru, which has been fully managed biodynamically (since 2009) with a philosophy: Respect for nature, rigor in the work of the vineyard, letting the wines be made.

This Meursault 1er Cru "Santenots" from Domaine Marquis d'Angerville is the most Volnaysian of the Meursault climats , which depending on whether it is planted with Pinot Noir will bear the name of Volnay and that of Meursault if the Chardonnay is planted there. Indeed, the plot is located north of the village of Meursault, between Meursault and Volnay, and the soil, very marly, lends itself to both Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Domaine Marquis d'Angerville owns a beautiful plot of 1.05 hectares planted with Chardonnay since 1905, it expresses above all the minerality of this exceptional terroir. Breeding, without excessive stirring, gives it extra energy and tension. This white wine is dry, very fruity, with a persistent bouquet reminiscent of hazelnut. Its fat is not expressed in attack, but over the long term.
