Description
White Wine Bourgogne Aligoté 2018 Domaine Comte Armand
The Domaine des Epeneaux owes its name to the Clos des Epeneaux, a magnificent five-hectare plot built up by Nicolas Marey at the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the nineteenth century. In 1828, Le Clos des Epeneaux and its buildings, located in the centre of the village of Pommard and known as the Fief de Rancy, became part of the heritage of the Comte Armand family. Today, this estate covers a total area of 9 hectares and is committed to making wines that are, for everyone, the faithful expression of their terroir.
This 2018 Bourgogne Aligoté from Domaine Comte Armand is the result of a blend of a young 10-year-old vine located in Volnay and a very old 90-year-old Aligoté vine known as "golden" located in Meursault. There is a very nice balance between the freshness and liveliness coming from the young vine which is combined with the richness and precision of the Aligotés Dorés from the old vine. Here is an Aligoté that could easily be imagined at the table of the greatest restaurants.
