Description

These are the ones that appear on most labels adorning the bottles and provide information about the identity of wines. Each communal appellation requires a study to highlight its characteristics.

This book is not intended to trace the entire history of the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, one of the most renowned and largest (600 ha), possessing the largest number of Grand Cru reds (9 out of 23) and 26 Premier Crus, but only to set the dates, the most important events, to show its evolution over two thousand years and to allow the presentation of the vineyard. It reveals the uniqueness of the vintages through the terroirs and the magic of the Grand Crus. My photographs, all unpublished, will encourage the reader to walk, to dream through these prestigious vineyards.

This book on Gevrey-Chambertin is, like the previous ones, a reflection of an objective, impartial, and precise work, for a good presentation of the municipality and its heritage worldwide! It aims to be lasting and should be a snapshot of the vineyard and the quality of wines at the end of the second millennium on the occasion of the 56th Saint-Vincent rotating, the last of the century. The reader will be able to compare our tastings with those they will do with professionals. Very comprehensive, it is recommended for professionals. A reference book, a book for discovering and expressing terroirs, quality, and knowledge of wines, it is the work that the experienced taster as well as the novice must possess in all tastings. Drinking good wine is a civilizing act!

A feast for the eyes, the mind, and the heart that allows one to then indulge in the pleasure of the senses.
