Savigny-les-Beaune and its vineyards (English) | Henri Cannard

This book recalls the history of the commune founded at the time Gallo-Roman. It is made by it state into 876. The remarkable vineyard which carries the label of origin of the commune, existed already in 1250, the "white vine" was the property of the Duke of Burgundy. Although primarily out of red wines, this name has a small vineyard in WHITE name SAVIGNY which requires a setting out of early bottle to preserve the fruity one and flavours. Communal names can also be asserted in Côte name of Beaune. This wine gouleyant, digeste, light, is scented, very quickly pleasant allowing its consumption as of 2 or 3 years of bottle. This village also has a vineyard of experimentation to the Mount-Battois on a soil which contains fertile marls on which the vine was plait. Lastly, in this commune, the effervescent wines are worked out, in particular while Creaming of Burgundy. Beautiful photographs and a chart color presents various names.  Traders were established there and the majority of the wine growers appear in the field of the commune with their productions, as well as the trade and the inventory of communal tourism. A remarkable castle going back to 1340 shelters five museums: had, models of planes, motor bikes, Voitures abarth, wine material and soon of the tractors-enjambeurs. Many middle-class houses, mural inscriptions make the fame of this tourist village.
