Description
The Zind-Humbrechf estate in Turckheim is now considered one of the most dynamic places in the great Alsatian wine industry. Since the founding work of Léonard and Geneviève Humbrecht (now continued by their son Olivier and his wife Margaret), started in the fifties, the wines of the estate have gained international recognition. Today, all the wines are the result of biodynamic viticulture.
These wines are admired for their extraordinary aromatic richness and for their loyalty to the terroirs where they have grown. They are also a testament to an ecological approach to viticulture that has the potential to radically transform our vineyard practices.
This beautifully illustrated book presents an amazing vineyard adventure. An adventure that often intersects with that of Alsace, as well as with all the questions concerning the identity that wine and its agronomy hold in an era that, contradictorily, praises or criticizes them without always truly understanding them.
The author, Thierry Weber, is a philosophy professor. Bertrand Mac Gaw is an artist painter and illustrator.
