Description
Revolutions in wines, and vine in the revolution: at first glance, these few words offer a faithful image of the work in progress at Pierre Frick's.
The vineyard has been practicing biodynamic agriculture for almost thirty years, cultivating wines as surprising as they are subtle, starting from some vineyards planted around Pfaffenheim, near Colmar, in Alsace. They also conduct the most enriching and daring experiments on wines without sulfur or the capping of bottles.
This viticulture is inseparable from a political identity: Jean-Pierre Frick, who now walks through the vineyards with his partner Chantal and his son Thomas, belongs to the mowers who deemed it legitimate, on August 15, 2010, to put an end to genetic vine cultures in Colmar.
In an apparent paradox, the estate presents itself as the defender of a generous and open agriculture to the world. Through its wines and commitments, in contrast to a society where individuals are often isolated and alienated by the deceptive development of progress, Pierre Frick presents the vitality of subjectivity and the expression of quality as the only solutions to economic and ecological failure.
