Spirits "The Unexpected II" Whisky from Michel Couvreur
The story Michel Couvreur began in 1956 when Michel Couvreur, a Burgundian wine merchant from Belgium, entered the world of whisky by acquiring the Molet cellars in Bouze-lès-Beaune. These cellars offer him the ideal conditions for aging his own whiskies. Convinced that the quality of a good whisky depends to a large extent on its ageing in barrels, Michel Couvreur has distinguished itself as an exceptional independent bottler. He imports neutral alcohol from Scotland to age it in the best possible conditions. He created an international reputation and even after his death in 2013, his legacy lives on thanks to his son-in-law Cyril Deschamps and the cellar master of la maison, who made it a point of honour to preserve it.
This " The Unexpected IiI" Whisky from Michel Couvreur is a rare and highly prized piece by whisky lovers. This is a Single Malt distilled on December 1, 2012, having been spent over 10 years maturing in various sherry casks. This whisky offers a unique combination of power and subtlety. It is distinguished by very cereal and extremely aromatic flavours, without peat, but enriched by the influence of sherry, while maintaining a beautiful resonance. It exudes a strong personality and offers rich, concentrated flavors. Only 2500 bottles of this precious edition were produced, all bottled at natural strength. It is an exceptional choice for connoisseurs looking for a rare and memorable taste experience.
