Description
Red Jess Spirits by Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume
Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume, heir to a winemaking tradition since 1830, passionately cultivates the unique terroirs of the Côte-de-Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise pushing them every day to surpass themselves to offer us spectacular wines. Their story began in 1830 with the acquisition of the property of the Marquis de Saint Innocent in Santenay, then generations of winegrowers, each more talented than the last, succeeded each other until Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume created his own trading house in his name in order to be able to vinify under his own name. Since 2022, Jean-Baptiste has acquired 112.5 hectares of vines in different appellations such as Pommard, Saint-Aubin, Beaune, Saint-Romain and Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. In addition to his wine production, Jean-Baptiste has also started producing spirits based on vodka and Burgundy red wine. A great adventure.
This RedJess from Jean-Baptiste Jessiaume is a wine spirit extracted from an old family recipe book. It is the result of blending red wine, natural flavors and an alcohol. In the technical data sheet of the product, we discover that the RedJess is composed of 48% red wine from Santenay in whole harvests, 50% wine vodka and 2% nine natural flavors of which they will keep the secret. We discover a very nice 42% alcohol that can be drunk dry as a digestive, but you are strongly advised to taste it in a cocktail with a good tonic.
