Founded in 1789, the Distillerie du Centre is the last heir to a long Limoges tradition. In the past, the city had many distilleries due to its geographical position at the crossroads of trade, today it can only boast of one distillery, the Distillerie du Centre. This distillery passionately perpetuates the art and recipes of the MA Liquorist of yesteryear. It continues to distill according to the same bicentennial recipe, using the same stills from the 19th century. Thus, it reserves a unique and authentic taste heritage, offering spirits lovers an unparalleled experience, which testifies to the rich history of the region.

This yellow liqueur " La Gauloise" by de la Distillerie du Centre is a plant liqueur made from a very old recipe dating back to the Gauls according to legend. The master liquor maker skilfully mixes angelica, St. John's wort, saffron, cardamom, genepi and many other ingredients kept secret. He carries out a double distillation over a wood fire before adding the right amount of fine brandies and sugar syrup to add finesse and roundness to the power already present, then lets the product age slowly to reveal an exceptional aromatic palette. This liqueur can be enjoyed neat as a digestif or in cocktails for your aperitifs.
