Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc Brut "Les Terroirs" | Wine from Domaine Louis Picamelot
Founded in 1926 in Rully, the Domaine Louis Picamelot stands out as one of the essential references in the world of Crémant de Bourgogne. Under the direction of Philippe Chautard, grandson of the founders, the house has managed to preserve its independence and family character. Long before the appearance of the Crémant de Bourgogne appellation in 1975, Picamelot was already distinguished by the exceptional quality of its sparkling wines, distributed in France and internationally. Today, the house remains an ambassador of high-end Burgundian crémants, exporting its prestigious cuvées worldwide.
The Crémant de Bourgogne Blanc Brut "Les Terroirs" reflects the expertise of the estate, combining grapes from the best terroirs of the Côte Chalonnaise, Côte de Beaune, and Côte de Nuits. Its blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, and sometimes Gamay offers exceptional aromatic complexity. Vinified according to the traditional method, this crémant reveals a fine and elegant bubble, accompanied by perfectly controlled freshness and acidity, the hallmark of great crémants.
Perfect for an elegant aperitif, the Crémant de Bourgogne "Les Terroirs" pairs wonderfully with charcuterie starters, shellfish, or even grilled fish. It will also enhance poultry dishes and fresh cheeses.
The grapes come from vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise, Côte de Beaune, and Côte de Nuits, with exclusively manual harvesting. The grape varieties used, such as Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Aligoté, and Gamay, allow for the creation of wines with a fine bubble and unique character.
The winemaking process follows the traditional method, with gentle pneumatic pressing, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by 12 months aging on slats at an ideal temperature to ensure the foam formation. After disgorging, the dosage is adjusted to offer a brut crémant, balanced and elegant.
