Description

Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge "Vieilles Vignes" 2021 | Wine from Domaine Alex Moreau

The Domaine Alex Moreau, located in Chassagne-Montrachet, continues a wine-growing tradition respectful of the terroir. Cultivating its vines using organic farming methods (not certified), Alex Moreau favors a minimalist and low-intervention approach, allowing the grapes to express their full authenticity. The old vines over 55 years old, deeply rooted in clay-limestone soils, give this wine a beautiful complexity and balanced structure.

This Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge 2021 comes from an exceptional terroir, exposed Southeast, ensuring an optimal maturation of the grapes. After manual harvesting, fermentation begins thanks to indigenous yeasts. The gentle maceration, without forcing extraction, preserves the finesse and elegance of the Pinot Noir. Aging in barrels of several wines for 15 months, followed by a refinement in vat for three months, brings a beautiful harmony and silky texture.
