The Domaine Laura Lardy is a gem in the Beaujolais region, where Laura represents the fourth generation of winemakers in her family. As the daughter and sister of winemakers in Fleurie, she vinified her first vintage in 2017. Working with family vines averaging 60 years in age, Laura adopts a respectful and natural approach to viticulture. With a priority given to the terroir and biodiversity, her practices include manual plowing, treatments limited to copper and sulfur, and fermentations using indigenous yeasts, without the use of chemical yeasts.

The Chénas Rouge "La Fayarde" 2021 is a natural wine, with no added sulfites, perfectly reflecting the terroir of Chénas. Made from 100% Gamay grown on sandy and granite soils, this wine is produced with a carbonic maceration of whole clusters for about 10 days. After a slow press, the wine is aged in 228 L barrels or large casks for 6 to 8 months, developing an elegant structure and remarkable aromatic depth.

The garnet red color of the wine indicates a beautiful concentration. The nose opens with aromas of ripe red fruits like cherry and raspberry, accompanied by floral notes and subtle spices. On the palate, it offers a silky texture, an elegant minerality, and fine tannins, supported by a lively acidity that brings freshness and balance. The finish is long and persistent, with nuances of pepper and violet.

The Chénas Rouge "La Fayarde" 2021 pairs perfectly with white meats like roasted farm chicken, fine charcuterie, or stewed dishes like a light beef bourguignon. It also goes wonderfully with soft cheeses such as brie or camembert. Serve it slightly chilled to enjoy its full vibrancy.
