Description
Bourgogne Rouge "Les 16 Ouvrées" 2022 | Wine from Bruno Lorenzon Estate
After traveling through the vineyards of South Africa and New Zealand as a consultant, Bruno Lorenzon took over the family estate of 4.5 hectares in Mercurey in Burgundy in 1997. He applies rigorous practices such as low yields, manual harvesting, and soil work to enhance each plot. Today, the estate spans 6 hectares with vines in Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and it is on the way to organic certification. The wines from the estate are distinguished by their intensity and great expressiveness, faithfully reflecting the terroir of the Côte Chalonnaise.
The Bourgogne Rouge "Les 16 Ouvrées" 2022 is a 100% Pinot Noir wine, a symbol of elegance and finesse. Originating from the Côte Chalonnaise, this vintage benefits from an ideal climate to reveal the aromatic complexity of Pinot Noir. It reveals on the nose notes of fresh red fruits, like cherry and raspberry, accompanied by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate, it impresses with its balanced structure and fine tannins.
The nose is fresh and delicate, with aromas of crunchy cherry and raspberry mixed with touches of sweet spices and a slight woody note. On the palate, the wine stands out for its freshness, its perfect balance, and its silky tannins. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a pleasant fruity sensation.
The Bourgogne Rouge "Les 16 Ouvrées" 2022 will wonderfully accompany grilled rib steaks or beef cuts. It will also enhance stewed poultry, roast pork, or slightly exotic dishes with mild flavors. Finally, it pairs very well with soft and aged cheeses, like a brie or aged camembert.
This wine is best enjoyed at an ideal temperature of 17 to 18 °C to reveal its full aromatic palette. With a potential aging of 2 to 6 years, the Bourgogne Rouge "Les 16 Ouvrées" 2022 will evolve elegantly, developing more complex aromas while retaining its initial freshness.
