Description
Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 2022 | Wine from the Graeme & Julie Estate
The Graeme & Julie Bott estate was born from a shared passion for wine and a bold dream. Graeme, originally from New Zealand, and Julie, a native of the region, began their adventure by transforming a 16 m² garage into a wine cellar. In 2019, they moved into their own cellar in Ampuis.
With a vision focused on respecting the terroir and traditions, the couple acquired their first plot in AOP Condrieu in 2015. Working the soil by hand and rehabilitating fallow lands, they build their estate on values of authenticity and passion.
The Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 2022 perfectly reflects the philosophy of the estate. This wine comes from vines carefully cultivated on granitic soils, offering a beautiful balance between freshness and intensity. Vinified with precision, it highlights the unique qualities of the Syrah grape variety.
To the eye, the wine presents a deep red color with purple highlights.
On the nose, enticing aromas of red fruits like cherry and raspberry mingle with spicy nuances of black pepper and licorice.
On the palate, there is a fresh and fruity attack, followed by silky tannins and a beautiful aromatic persistence.
The Crozes-Hermitage Rouge 2022 pairs perfectly with a charcuterie board as an appetizer, a friendly barbecue, or red meats such as beef and duck. It also wonderfully complements a platter of matured cheeses, enhancing the flavors of your meals.
For optimal tasting, serve it at a temperature of 16-17°C.
This wine can be kept for up to 8 years from the vintage to develop even more complex secondary aromas.
