Description
Pomerol Red "Pom 'N' Roll" 2017 | Wines of Château Gombaude Guillot
Château Gombaude-Guillot, located in the heart of the Pomerol plateau, is a family-owned estate managed by the Técher family for several generations. Founded in 1860, the estate was taken over by Claire Laval and Dominique Técher in 1983, who then converted the entire vineyard to organic farming in 1997, obtaining certification in 2000. Since 2015, their son Olivier Técher has continued this tradition by respecting natural practices and limiting the use of chemical inputs.
The Pomerol Red "Pom 'N' Roll" 2017 is an innovative and bold blend created by Olivier Técher. This red wine is composed of a unique blend of merlot, malbec, and cabernet franc, cultivated in respect of the terroirs of Pomerol in the Bordeaux region. The wine expresses a beautiful freshness and typicity specific to its terroir while remaining accessible and appealing.
This wine reveals expressive aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and subtle notes of mocha on the nose. On the palate, the texture is juicy and round, with tannins that are both ripe and firm. The finish, slightly tight, promises to develop over time, offering remarkable aging potential.
The Pomerol Red "Pom 'N' Roll" 2017 pairs perfectly with game or red meats. It is recommended to serve it at a temperature between 17 and 18 °C to fully reveal its aromas.
