Description
Red French wine “L’Idylle” 2023 | Wine from Domaine Raphaëlle Guyot
TheDomaine Raphaëlle Guyot, founded by a vine and wine enthusiast, is located in the winegrower's native region, Puisaye-Forterre, on the borders of Burgundy. In 2018, Raphaëlle Guyot took over a fallow plot, followed by one hectare in 2019. Her ambitious project aims to revive a disappeared vineyard by replanting the hillsides formerly cultivated with vines.
The vines are cultivated according to the principles of biological agriculture. The first planting of 0.75 ha of Chardonnay took place in April 2020, followed by a second of 1 ha in 2021. At the end of 2019, Raphaëlle also took over the Ferme de l'Orme du Pont in Sainte Colombe sur Loing, surrounded of 75 hectares of land. The estate produces “Vin de Pays de l’Yonne” with a planting density of 4,500 vines/ha. The goal is to create a climate-resilient wine system, including planting trees to increase biodiversity and strengthen plant vigor.
