Description
Santenay Premier Cru Red "Clos Faubard" 2021 from Domaine Lucien Muzard & Fils
Discover our cuvée "A La Vigne" from our 1.83 hectare farm in this exceptional climate. With vines pruned in cordon de royat and with an average age of 50 years, each step, from ploughing to harvesting by hand, is carried out meticulously. This wine offers a remarkable tasting, dense and intense, with a firm heart of mouth and a texture of high quality, according to the guide of the best wines of France 2021. With 13% alcohol by volume and an ageing potential of 5 years, it can be enjoyed at a temperature of 15-16°C. Its vinification, with indigenous yeasts and a light punching down, combined with an ageing in Burgundian pieces, 15 to 20% of which are new, sublimates its aromas. Nestled at an altitude of 300m, at the top of the hillside, on a meagre soil facing south-east, the terroir of Clos Faubard reveals all the richness of its limestone rock.
