Red wine Pommard 1er cru ''Clos Blanc'' 2017 Domaine Albert Grivault
In 2019, Domaine Albert Grivault celebrated its 140th anniversary; A successful family transmission over four generations. The estate was then managed by Albert Grivault's widow and then by his daughters Berthe and Mathilde, Bardet's wife. They overcame the crisis of 1929 and the wars. In 1980 Albert Grivault's grandchildren took over the estate: Michel Bardet, Denise married Chevignard and Marguerite still active in 2019.
Since 2004, the responsibility of the estate has been handed over to Claire Bardet, manager of the Société d'exploitation assistée d'Henri Marc, which is responsible for the vinification, and advised by Michel, who still participates in the ageing of the wines in the cellar and their marketing.
This 2017 Pommard 1er Cru "Clos Blanc" from Domaine Albert Grivault comes from a vineyard planted in the twelfth century by the Abbey of Cîteaux with white grapes, hence its name.
This 2017 is draped in a beautiful intense garnet colour, its nose offers aromas of stone fruit and spices. On the palate the attack is powerful with fine tannins, a beautiful structure and a fruity finish.
