Jean-Paul Dubost comes from a long line of winemakers established since the beginning of the twentieth century in the Beaujolais region. Jean-Paul, driven by his passion for terroirs marked by minerality, quickly oriented his wines towards even more personality and complexity. Gamay is of course the king grape variety. Jean-Paul, still not giving in to fashions, is a fan of ripe grapes cut at high maturity. The grapes are then macerated over a long period of time (sometimes over 1 month!) to extract all the phenolic matter, and limit the use of sulphur as much as possible. Wines with great structure, concentrated and vibrant.

This 2020 Fleurie "Le Vivier" from Domaine Dubost comes from a high-quality Beaujolais cru. Jean-Paul Dubost carefully works this place known as Fleurie, a plot that delivers fleshy and concentrated grapes. Matured in oak barrels, this 2020 Fleurie "Le Vivier" exudes notes of elderberry, forest fruits, blackberry and spices, a juicy and greedy fruit concentrate, not without lacking structure. A lot of concentration for a guaranteed ageing potential!
