Burgundy Pinot-Noir Red Wine 2021 Domaine De Villaine

The Domaine De Villaine is located in Bouzeron, south of Beaune, and has expanded with acquisitions in Mercurey and Rully. Bought in 1971 by Pamela and Aubert de Villaine, they applied the same methods as at the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (of which Aubert was one of the co-managers for more than 50 years): biodynamic vines, organic certification, natural vinification, grapes picked and sorted by hand. Recently, Pierre de Benoist, their nephew, has gradually taken over the estate.

On this 2021 red Burgundy from the Domaine De Villaine the estate offers us a generic Burgundy of great quality with notes of red and black fruits, spices and a hint of minerality on the nose. On the palate, this gives a fresh and easy-drinking wine that will be perfect on grilled meats in the summer or on its own as an aperitif served a little chilled.
