Description
One of the key factors of success, undoubtedly the most important, for the quality of Spanish wines in recent years is the special attention that wineries are giving to the growing and production conditions of grapes for winemaking. The qualities offered by a specific harvest, encompassed under the term "quality," closely correlate with the typicity and quality of the wine made from it. It is widely known that great wines are made from great harvests. This work specifically addresses this important aspect of Oenology, often overlooked by many winery technicians, and these pages detail the conditions and practices applied to vineyards that may later influence the quality of the wines produced. This work is not only useful for oenologists, who are responsible for winemaking, but also for viticulturists, providing them with the opportunity to understand which growing conditions and practices can influence the quality of harvests and consequently wines, enabling them to apply these techniques effectively and thus improve the value of their productions.
