Description
Where does one draw the line between a dream and a frenzy?
Four friends, driven by a shared passion for wine, set off from Rome to London "on the road" with the aim of purchasing at an auction a prestigious bottle of Romanée-Conti that represents a real treasure.
As they make memorable stops at wineries and fascinating landscapes and face unexpected encounters, the journey from Rome leads them to look at their lives with a fresh perspective and strike unexpected balances.
Far from the chaotic daily routine of the Italian capital, Tommaso, Julie, Luciano, and Roberta gradually realize the high stakes of the experience they are sharing are much higher than they could have ever imagined.
Fabio Pericoli was born in 1978 in Magenta, in the province of Milan. He now lives in Zurich and works as an IT specialist. He is an avid wine enthusiast, and "The Bottle" is his literary debut novel.
