Description
In the great game of fate, Mimo drew the wrong cards. Born poor, he was apprenticed to a stone sculptor of no stature. But he has genius on his hands. Almost all the fairies have turned their attention to Viola Orsini. Heiress to a prestigious family, she spent her childhood in the shadow of a Genoese palace. But she is too ambitious to resign herself to the place assigned to her.
These two should never have met. At first glance, they recognize each other and swear to never leave each other. Viola and Mimo can't live together, nor can they stay away from each other for long. Bound together by an unwavering attraction, they go through years of fury when Italy falls into fascism. Mimo takes his revenge on fate, but what's the point of glory if he has to lose Viola? A novel full of passion and brilliance, inhabited by grace and beauty.
We will have the pleasure of welcoming Jean-Baptiste Andréa Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 7 p.m. For a meeting followed by a signing session Registration required: evenement@athenaeum.com |
