Description
"What is the wine of philosophy? Is it a more or less precise idea or a sensory reality attested by thirst, taste, or desire? The alternative may be enticing, but it is certainly deceptive. Behind the word 'wine,' there are simultaneously an idea and a concrete reality. To forget this would be to condemn oneself to wander in the realm of ideas, losing sight of what provides access to it: the sensory. What can be done against aimless wandering? How can we not lose sight of reality? The Rabelaisian invitation to clink glasses is worth pondering, navigating between the pitfall of bodily intoxication that hinders reasoning and the intoxication of reason that forgets what it is supposed to be discussing." Philosophy questions our relationship with wine: who we are (taste, perception, anchoring, education...), what it is, between nature and culture, and what connects us to this universe. Grégory Darbadie urges us to practice doubt to explore new paths of thought. Through this work, he engages, questions, and implements an organic and carnal philosophy.
