The grapes of the extreme... between Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie. | Fred Bernard

The association La Marque Rouge, which has been organizing the Vendanges Graphiques festival in Condrieu (69) since 2013, invited Fred Bernard to the banks of the Rhône. He thus participated in the 2019 grape harvest in Condrieu and Côte-Rôtie, following Yves Gangloif, Yves Cuilleron, and Julien Pilon along the steep stairs of the hillsides. This two-week residency led to the production of this watercolor book, reflecting the daily life of these grape pickers. Fred Bernard's multicolored palette, an award-winning author of children's books and comics, will not leave anyone indifferent when discovering the hard work of the winemakers to produce these nectars such as Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, and Saint Joseph.
