Description
1999. Florian, a young lawyer, is the son of a powerful farmer in southern Rhône-Alpes, who is also the president of the regional cooperative. Although he knows little (or almost nothing) about working the land, Florian accompanies his father on a study trip to Mexico, funded by a pesticide supplier. While there, he is struck by the poverty and the disastrous impact of industrialized Western agriculture on the local population... and on the world. This experience is a shock for Florian, who then feels the irresistible call of the land within him. Upon his return, he cannot resist: the young man will become a farmer. However, unlike his father, he will prioritize ecological and responsible agriculture. Anne, his fiancée, views this career change with disapproval... And what about his father, who embodies the productivist agriculture, supposed to "feed the planet" with a lot of technology and chemicals!
