Champagne Extra-Brut "Partition 2nd reading" 2012 Maison JM Sélèque
LA MAISON de Champagne JM Sélèque began in the 1960s when Henri Sélèque planted vines on the renowned terroirs of Moussy and Pierry, and bottled in his name in 1969. Richard, his son, an oenologist, brought the property into the era of modernity and technical precision, while expanding the family wine heritage. Since 2008, Jean-Marc, the third generation, a follower of a culture closer to natural balances, anchors his production in the search for authenticity and expression of the terroirs.
The 2012 Champagne Extra-Brut "Partition 2nd reading" by de la maison JM Sélèque is a second reading of the composition of the cuvée "Partition 2017". We discover the blend of the 7 most beautiful plots of the 2012 vintage estate and vinified in oak barrels. It consists of 72% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Noir and 14% Pinot Meunier, from the various terroirs of Vertus, Dizy, Epernay, Mardeuil and Pierry. The soils are mainly clay-silt and rich in flint calcites, with a base of Campanian chalk at different depths. The vinification is done 100% in oak barrels of 350 to 600 litres, without fining or filtration. This Champagne rests on lees for 10 years and has a dosage of 1.5g/L, classifying it as Extra Brut. An exceptional experience for champagne lovers.
